More than thirty years of professional experience has established Lonnie Hewitt, Jr. as an accomplished architect in the Gulf States Region. Mr. Hewitt is an expert in programming, design and urban planning. As President of Hewitt-Washington & Associates since 1978, he has served as principal-in-charge for several outstanding projects including the Aquarium of the Americas and Woldenberg Park, which has been recognized throughout America for its compelling architectural design. As a planning professional, Mr. Hewitt led the successful completion of the Southern University Campus Master Plan that received an "Outstanding Planning Merit Award" from the Louisiana Chapter of the American Planning Association. Other noted projects that Mr. Hewitt has contributed his knowledge, skill and talents to include the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center Phase III Expansion, the Mississippi Aerial Transit System Terminals (MART Skyline) for the Louisiana World's Fair Exposition and the New Orleans International Airport Ticket Lobby Renovations.
