St. Joseph’s fountain is the centerpiece for the Piazza d’Italia in downtown New Orleans. The renovation of the Piazza, located adjacent to the American Italian Museum and Library, was completed in 2004. The colors and form of the Piazza is characteristically Italian and evokes the perfect expression of the gloria di vita.
